u'll only void u're warrenty if they know about it ... you can do as much as u want long as u never have to send it back to dell u'll be fine. and usually when changing things they just would say that they just wont cover the new stuff u put in there ie fans and everything .. however like others have stated if u mod it for reasons to keep it cooler it'll last longer,and u'll need that damn warrenty less. if something breaks say you can put it in u'reself and u'll never have a problem.... hell if u know how to mod u should be able to fix most of u're problems anyways as for fan mods just set everything into the psu and u wont have to worry about blowin anything

I just simply bout a 10" new age looking turbine shaped fan and mounted it under my desk blowing air directly through into my xps gen 2, (with the geforce go 6800 ultra that was known for overheating) the temp of my computer stays minial even when playing extreme games like airborne. simple eh?
