Ah, my rig hasn't changed much. The same P4 3.0Ghz,9800 XT,SB Audigy 2. I'm running Cat 4.8's and Dell's latest SB Audigy 2 drivers. I'm trying to find the other details of my computer, I'm a complete n00b to this computer thing. The problem is when I play games such as Battlefield Vietnam, a few minutes into game it locks up with a repeating sound of the last sound that was processed. Monitor goes black or the last frame just goes crappy with vertical disgusting bars. Sorry I can't be more descriptive. I've called Dell's tech's support twice. I really do think it's my video card. It runs extremely hot and I think it's faulty or something is wrong with my computer which I've checked out that all the latest drivers and refered to other sites and no one else is having a problem similar to my own.

Also....When you say extremely hot, are you monitoring the VGA Core somehow(Overdrive,or ATi Tool)? 9800XT Card Temps should never go over 80c with normal clocks, unless your Ambient Temps in your room are High, and your Air Cooling System is inadequate. =========================== Make sure your V.Card Heatsink Fan is Spinning when the systems is On. **Get Motherboard Monitor to measure your Idle/Load Temps if need be. Your Cooling System may need to be modified, and your a Gamer so its almost a Must-have for extended gaming sessions. Hope this helps, keep us posted. T.RoW

Thanks guys. I called Tech Support and the best thing they told me to do was use their drivers. He said the ATI Cats forces my card to run extra hot. BFV is forcing my card to run with extra power like its overclocking. Something I will never due. I'm getting a X800 Pro at the end of the year so I wont deal with it for long. I hope it can handle Far Cry.

I'm running Dells drivers or at least I think so. I can't enable any type of AA nor AF. I never knew buying a computer was so much a task.
