Cant Get Monitor to work Using DVI-D cable

I have a Dell W1700 LCD Monitor/TV. I have been using the Analog VGA connector with my old computer. Now with my New XPS Gen 3, I wanted to use the DVI-D digital cable. But it is not working. the monitor doesn't seem to get the signal. It works with the analog. Any thoughts?

when i updated to omegadrivers' newest release (the release just before the newest ones now), I had the same problem. It can definitely be driver related...
