Just got my Gen going. I did the ebay buy stuff and put it together method....
Gen 2 / A06 BIOS / 3.2 EE / 1GB PC3200 Factory stock case hardware.
Sysoft sandra reports that I have a fan problem because of the rpm. My current temp at idle is 40 cpu 32 case.
It reports: Auto speed fan control "yes" Chassis fan speed "1127 rpm" CPU fan speed "1059"
The CPU fan speed is struck with a yellow error asterisk. Do I have a problem or is this low speed an issue only with sandra.
Thanks, Russ

Check out this discussion on the Program: MotherBoard Monitor See if your reporting the same problems using this program. You should only have 2 fans reporting RPM's. 3 would not surprise me. Also, when you Reboot your PC, look for the Bios Version on the Boot Screen. Is it A03? or A06? Thanks, and Welcome to the Forums! T.RoW

Hello T.Row, Thank you for the "welcome"!
I have the same rpm's (1062-1122) reported for two fans with MBM5 and the latest data file as well.
I have A06 (latest BIOS)
I am not to say that the rpm is an inherent problem. I am thinking that SANDRA believes it to be a heatsink fan which is going to run LOTS faster. So perhaps the case style fan is something they need to address.
Thank you for your reply, Russ
