I have a Dimension XPS Gen 2, 3.2 Ghz 800 FSB. When I check my Windows Task Manager, it seems to think there are two CPU's working (showing two CPU usage graphs.) The usage is not identical - one may be be idle, the other 50% - 100% usage, sometimes both are essentially idle. Why does Task Manager think there are two processors?

Hyper threading technology give the computer 2 "logical" processors. Thus making it think there are 2 processors. I hope that helps
