I don't know if this has been discussed to death, so I apologize ahead of time. This is my first post. According to my manual and the Dell site, the maximum amount of ram I can put into my computer is 2 gigs. Is this in fact the max my mobo can handle or did 1 gig modules just not exist when my computer was made? You've got a great forum here.
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure, but u can call dell support. My gen 2 can support 4 gigs, and there is little differnce between systems.

Your Gen 1 will support up to 4GBs of RAM. Win XP by default will only recoginze 3GB. Anything over 1GB you lose P.A.T.
2GB is more then enough for end-user systems. And welcome to the Forums!
