I replaced the northbridge heatsink with a waterblock for my water-cooling system and now on boot I get an error message saying
"Alert! Chipset heat sink not detected. System halted!"
Does anyone know how to get around this?!

A jumper wire. Basically a small wire that will act as a jumper to complete the circuit. I ran into this same problem when I installed a Waterblock on the N.B. Freaks you out a bit huh ;D Edit: Couple notes: The NB hooks on the mobo have a Boot detection much like that of the Factory Fans. Without a jumper wire, or the original tension arm in place; the system will not boot. Solution: Jumper Wire If you look at this picture, you can see the jumper wire under the water block.

Well, its good to know that security measures are in place so that if a fan stops working or (I have no idea how) a heatsink falls off, your computer will tell you. I move my computer a few times a year to and from school. It wouldnt be entirely out of the realm of possibility that a fan or something would get jarred loose.
