Hey Guys,
I'm back again with another upgrade question. I currently have a 2.8Ghz Northwood in my XPS Gen 1. I'm wondering if anyone thinks it's a worthwhile upgrade to a 3.2Ghz Northwood? It's a difference of 400Mhz which seems like a decent jump to me.
I read the thread further down where anothe person asked a similar question and I did follow the link to the Dell forums....that was a bit scary but not sure since he was trying to use a 3.4 (which I assume was a Prescott).
Any advice is welcome. I'm just trying to prolong the life of my aging XPS and maybe play a few more of the high-end games. I'll probably need to upgrade my old ATI 9800np as well.
Thank you,
Drivie

Guys,
Thanks for the replies. 3.2Ghz Northwoods aren't that expensive. I just purchased an eVGA 7800GS vid card today so I'm on the fence with the processor upgrade. Maybe I'll hold off.
UG430, I've got an XPS Gen 1 so I don't believe there's any good way for me to OC my 2.8 unless you know of some way to do it...
Stevogabe, you're a poet and don't even know it! LOL!
Thanks again,
Drivie
