I was wondering the following questions;
1. Is the psu a standard atx or specially made.
Will the parts work with a standard psu?
2. any heating problems?
3. how's the 12v rail look on a sensor program? My voltage for 12 v seems to go from 11.89 to 12.00
4. can i use any motherboard i want?
5. and what's the amps on the psu? thanks for your time. specifically the 12v rails
I found out that both 12v rails are rated at 17 amps. is this enough for a 7800 gs?
I was thinking about updating the system with a 7800 gs agp and 2 1 gig sticks of xms memory.
6.I also was wondering if I could put the parts in a different case or get new parts like a motherboard as a replacement.
7. I also would like to know which way the fans are supposed to face. it's been so long of a time that i don't remember. The 2 back 92mm fans are pointing out and the front 80 mm is pointing in. my CPU has been going anywhere from 40-99 Celsius on the CPU if i have 1 of the back fans pointing in and the other out. Current CPU temps range from 40 Celsius to 70. is this good or bad? However having then both point out in the back seems to help it cool better although the bottom back fan has little airflow. what is the best configuration of the fans including the way they face aka blow in and out.
I plan on replacing the 2 92mm back fans and the from 80 mm fan with vantec tornadoes. How much noisier would this be and would it interfere with being able to hear from my headphones lol. Supposedly these fans sound like jet turbines.
8. Also how do I reattach the black piece of plastic on the side of the case it never seems to connect right and when I try to close the case it gets in the way, It's a long abut 2-4 inch plastic piece that covers a little wire and is located above the front 80mm fan.
This is a xps gen 2 system.
Thanks for your time.
See you on the battlefield.
