Ok Guys here is the thing. I got a noisy XPS Gen 5 here with a lot of fan noise from the shroud (2 CPU fans) that generate reverbation. This is a 775 chipset and I know that Zalman has a CNPS7000 that supports 775 chipsets www.zalmanusa.comI had a Zalman CNPS7000a on my former custom built system and believe me how I miss it now that I switch to "NOISE FACTORY XPS GEN 5". Do you think it's doable? Thanks

ummm why would you use a 7000 and not a 9500 better cooling performance, quieter andalso fits the 775 socket

Great choice unknowngod... I didn't notice the 9500. Now I need to know if there is a way to buy an adapter to bypass the 4-pin fan connector in the motherboard. What I mean is to buy an adapter from 3-pin to 4-pin (not molex). If I'm going to install a new heatsink and fan I want the Dell motherboard to shut the f.. up and prevent the fan error bios message. This is the only thing I've found but I'm not sure if this would do the trick. www.svc.com/3pinto4pinad1.htmlI'm not good at custom made cables, I want to know if there is something there I can buy. Thanks!

well if you think about it all you have to do is press F1 and thats not that bad.. I have my fans unpluged and it just means you have to be near u're comp within the first 30 seconds of booting it . i don't think it's really that big of deal supposedly theres a way to run the TAch and one of the Ground lines to the mobo and that works but i havne't tried anything i'm content with just pressing F1 esp since my comps on for weeks at a time.

also the 9500 is almost in the weight specs on the mobos so u wont have to worry about killing u're Mobo when u' move u're comp
