Can the XPS Gen3 take on one of this in the empty spot below the CD drive and DVD drive 5.25" bays? Does the XPS Gen3 have the needed power plugs and SATA jack for another SATA internal (hot swappable) drive even when you're maxed out with 3 SATA drives already ? Thanks for any ideas.

You can install a 5.25 hot swap drive bay so long as you have a 5.25 open for use. The mobo has 4 Sata connectors, so that too is possible. Power on the other hand, you may need to purchase a Sata Power Connector Splitter. Heres a link to give an idea of what your looking for, but first check to see if you have a extra Sata connector from you PSU. The link is for splitting a Molex to Sata, which may or may not be the best option. T.RoW
