pc.ign.com/articles/526/526399p1.htmlLike Im going to fall for this one again, and again, and again, and.... Other interesting tidbits from Gabe's comments include Half-Life 2's install size being about 3.5 GB uncompressed, and the happy fact that Striders can be killed. Though we're thinking that's not easy T.RoW

I think the massive setback was the stolen code. They had to recode a lot of things and change things so that the protection schemes wouldn't be instantly defeated by hacks. Thats what I understand the delay as. Hopefully this time they are actually making a legitimate attempt to release it when they say.

I never did pursue the Hl2 code leak, though I saw it on the network at the last lan party I went to. HL2 will bring more realistic, and world like themes vs. Zombie Fraggin. Im interested in the City 17 enviroments, and how much interactivity you can have with NPC's, objects, NPC's homes, locked doors, random scary sh*t,etc...
This is just the beginning...I would rather have a game based on Real World Enviroments then walking around in a Space Station. The Connection to Reality is lost, but atomspheric sounds scare the sh*t outta me. FarCry in the Temple is not a very fun place...at All. Doom3 T-Minus 5 Hours.

November 1 is the current retail date but a friend at Vivendi tells me X-Mas launch in December. Just like D3, I have seen this at E3 the last two years. Dates get pushed back and forth...what's new!
