That is a pretty good article. The only problem is the PSU is at the top of the case, which makes for a totally different test setup when applied to "our" situation. I like the 11 Fan setup but 1100+cfm's might be a little loud. Pretty good diagrams, I might consider cutting a Window intake hole for a 80mm Tt Smart Fan....im getting bored. <T.RoW>

read this awhile ago and it was interesting, but its always seemed that front, rear, and top would be the most ideal. they shouldve tested that.
i cant imagine the reasoning behind dell and placing the psu on the bottom. i always thought heat rises.

Dell's engineer's are strange people, I wonder if they're even familiar with contemporary case design. When you see this many design flaws, it really makes you wonder WTF is going at Dell.
Among those engineer's there has to be someone who feels the design sucks, and should be reconsidered. Or is there.....

there has to be some designers who arent in love with this dell case design. but its hard to argue with results i suppose, they sell well and with the gen 3 having the inclusion of those new lights more people are sure to grab them up. im actually impressed at the relative "low-cost" of the new gen 3. they do present a decent value with all things considered.

I was thinking this: Dell needed to answer to some of the problems with the XPS. Cooling, making it somewhat unique(customizable), and letting user's tweak the Bios. They came up with this: Tweak the Bios: well let them changed the shield color thru the bios... Unique Custom-look: The "Lit" shield Cooling: Longer Green Air Shroud. T.RoW

Hot air doesn't have a chance to settle in the top of my case, IF anything Im going to add a 80mm Tt to the Window for VGA cooling.
