I just purchased a XPS Gen 3, still in production who knows when I will actually receive it. I found this site yesterday and was reading all the topics about cooling and I am concerned that I should add some additional cooling. I am new to mod's and have never done this to a computer before. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what I would need to monitor and regulate the temps in my PC.
Thanks

You can download MBM 5 for starters. That will give you pretty accurate temp readings inside the case and for motherboard.
Check all the forums and posts and you will find answers to just about everything for modding your XPS.
Find the post that Trow has where he details every step with pictures.

I don't know if the Gen. 3/925 Intel based boards will be supported by MBM. They've(MBM) recently called off anymore updates because of bogus reasoning. I agree that you need to check your temps, which I guarantee will be on the warm side. Temp probe it if need be, but with a Prescott core, and no CPU Fan you might wanna get on that.

Im interested to see accuarate temp readings from a probe for idle/load condition of the new Gen3. What cracks me up is the fact that they have a Badge light, I won't go into all that. The Install Site for Gen1/2 can be found on the News Header or On my Name next to my posts.
