In my quest for X800XT Kingship, I have come to one conclusion...Guess what that is ;D Got the Card Here, bought it about 42 minutes ago. Not the best deal, but my taste and preference is HIGH to say the least. Its proven, and hopefully, God Willing it will work. Interesting mod to say the least! Results Posted Saturday Night!

A Kick Ass Guide This Guide Has Been on Most Major Forums across the Net. Rage3D: Spammy This guide has Loose information, with spam, and broken tid bits, I find useless to read. Nooblet's Guide: Guide for those that just don't know WTF this is... +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Also, in this quest for 4 more pipes I needed ATi Tool. I Uninstalled Rage3D, and I Installed ATi Tool. I LOVE THIS TOOL! OMFG RAGE3D Blows! Plus, the GPU temp is linked in MBmonitor! If I would've known Linking to MBM was an option(to record temps too)I wouldve Used ATi Tool a LONG time ago. T.RoW

First off, They sent me the WRONG CARD! The site said Sapphire, but they sent me a PowerColor. But, the Card also came bundled with CS: Condition Zero Retail Game and Hitman: Contracts. SWEEEET! My research had taken a side road, luckily the formula still applied. Ive successfully as you can see, have unlocked the 4 remaining Pixel Pipes! It was not easy. Im still using the x800pro original bios, with 16 pipes. I flashed to the x800xt and Had BAD Corruption on the Boot Up Screen. I then Shutdown, and ReFlashed to Original Bios x800pro. Well, the pipes were still there as the MANY posts have said, but the Stock X800XT clocks are too much with my current cooling situation. So I have to settle with a slightly underclocked x800pro w/ 16 pipes. This is by NO means a guide, walk through, etc...But, if you want a x800xt for cheap and Now. This is the Mod of the Year. T.RoW

Trow, you are the man! or the man who keeps his rig updated with the latest video cards!
I was so stoked when I got my rig with the 9800xt card. Then months later the reviews on the x800 cards. That's PC technology for you...changing and updating daily.
I am waiting to see if ATI will allow you to "trade in" to get an x800. Currently the highest trade in card is the 9800xt.

This PowerColor card Roxxors!
Unlocking the last 4 pipes was a bit of work, but well worth it. The number of ppl doing this with success was too much not to be apart of. Due to the grahpics corruption of using the x800xt bios, im content right now with 16pipes, and the ability to overclock near XT Speeds with NO artifacts, and Im using my Factory x800pro Bios.
This is the Card Mod of the Year! I recommend using only a Powercolor VIVO or Sapphire VIVO with 1.6ns Memory. These 2 Cards are Almost Guaranteed to Convert.
Mother Nature on 3dMark03 is unBELIEVABLE! ! !

First off, HOLY sh*t! This PowerColor card is a Work Horse! 1. I overclocked the Card to 520/560, which is stock X800XT speeds vs. x800 Pro @ 475/450 default speeds. **An Increase of +45core/+110mem. 2. NOT ONE ARTIFACT NOR HINT OF ANY RENDERING ERRORS. I Felt as if this card could do MUCH more than XT speeds.....(Not interested until I get better cooling in case your wondering:D) 3. Ran 3Dmark03 for Artifact Testing, I could Not believe how this card handled. If you Guys DONT GET ONE OF THESE IN THE NEXT MONTH, YOUR GONNA HATE YOURSELF! 4. Proof is in the Numbers my Friends. Note: I was running Mbm in the background, along with ATi tool and aggresively measuring the temps on a 1 sec schedule. This will negatively affect the CPU score, which brings down the total. The Card Temp under Full Load was 69c. *ATi Tool clocks should be ignored, this Test was Run using Stock XT Clocks. T.RoW

Hey T.Row, what's new? I just bought an X800 Pro for $330 off of outpost. shop4.outpost.com/product/4042522It's made by ATi and I doubt the card will be a VIVO model, so I don't think I can softmod it. Do you know much about hardmodding lasercut X800 pros? The card is on backorder and has been for about a week, so I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Success Rates on Hardmodd'd, Laser cut x800's are hard to come by. I believe it also requires modifying the AGP Voltage on your Mobo, which we cant. I believe that your card is the most diffucult to mod, with the least amount of success rates.
Another option would be to Install a Silencer 4 and Overclock when need be. Its a Powerful card stock, with plenty of room to overclock. Just check the Model# of the RAM Chips when you get it.
Samsung 2.0 or Samsung 1.6
The Ram timings and laser cuts are usually the deciding factors on when card can NOT be flashed/mod'd to XTPE(1.6) with success.

Yeah, the Samsung RAM.
Since it's on backorder, I'm hoping Outpost will ship the first shipment of X800 Pros that it gets. Whether those Pros are Ati non-VIVOs or Gigabyte or Powercolor VIVOs who really knows. Knowing how sloppy Outpost is with handling inventory, I hope a VIVO comes my way.

From the Link.....Your getting the Actual, Made By ATi X800Pro. Aka One of the Hardest cards to hardmod that is in existance. Expect Laser cut, and 2.0ns Ram.

Yeah, it looks like I would be getting the made by ATi version. Here's a little food for thought. If you go to the ATi website and try to purchase an X800 Pro there, it's out of stock on their website. Coincidence?

Hey T.Row,
I cancelled my X800 Pro order from Outpost and instead bought a pre-modded X800 from the for sale / for trade anandtech forums. My 9800 np was starting to feel it during HL2 and CS:Source. I should be expecting the card in a few days. Take care.

Who makes the card? Is it a VIVO softmod? Or Hardmod? Any idea on if it comes with aftermarket cooler? The X800 series rocks HL2 pretty well, even when you toss high res, and eye candy in the mix.

Looks like a sweet card, be sure to run ATi Tool to check for the "Active Pipelines." Run some Benchmarks with the Old card vs. New. "Mother Nature" on 3Dmark03 is like night and day. The Tree Pan section is smooth and vivid. Just wait! T.RoW

Finally got the card T.Row.
This thing is a beast. I got 11514 points on 3dmark03! It sure beats 5097 points on 3dmark03 with the old 9800 NP. Wow!

Oh yeah, ATI tool is nice. Displays 16 pipelines along with the default core and memory as 520 and 560. Also displays the card temps.
