As you can guess from the thread, i have an x800 xt (non-pe) and i was wondering how to see whether my memory on the card is 2.0ns or the uber 1.6ns samsung memory. I have atitool, and see the memory setting, but what determines it. Furthermore, can i change the setting?

The easiest way to see if you have 1.6 or 2.0ns GDDr3....is to open the case and look on the Ram modules. The last numeric numbers will either be -16 or -20. The ram timings are locked in the bios, and flashing the wrong .bin will result in corruption and possible component damage. I believe this is why my 1st attempt at flashing to XTPE failed, the bios I was using was for 2.0 Ram and not Samsung 1.6ns modules. T.RoW EDIT: If in fact your X800XT(PCIe) have Samsung 1.6ns Ram, then theres also a strong chance that a Platinum Edition Bios may work. The problem lies in the fact that your part of the upper 1% of user's with this type of hardware. Not many cases, but Ill look into it. You can always flash back.
