I seem to have missed the post, most likely due to overflow of the most recent listing. Things look ok to push on but there's usually no indication things are going to crap out. I noticed your 1.5gb memory but only saw the spd dump on one stick. The Dell really suffers for oc settings to fiddle with so 'Beware'.

cool, thanks for replying. I wasnt sure if i should push it or not since i know that you got to OC 400mhz without frying anything. what did you mean by speed dump?

The memory stick speed (timming) capabillities are tabled in an eprom on each stick. I assumed you were 512 512 256 256 for the 1.5 gb. On looking at yoru screenshot your assymetrical with 1024 in one slot and 512 in another and the timmings are different. Your supposed to have matched pairs for size and speed. example here $0000: 80 08 07 0D 0A 02 40 00 04 50 50 00 82 08 00 01 $0010: 0E 04 1C 01 02 20 C1 60 50 75 50 3C 28 3C 28 40 $0020: 60 60 40 40 00 00 00 00 00 37 41 28 28 50 00 0A $0030: 01 26 29 22 0C 0C 18 05 00 00 00 00 00 00 11 C0 $0040: C1 49 4E 46 49 4E 45 4F 45 36 34 44 36 34 33 32 $0050: 30 47 55 35 42 20 20 20 20 20 20 01 2A 03 31 04 $0060: 13 2E A5 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 $0070: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

o ok, ic what you mean. I dont have a 512 512 256 256 setup. i got a 1024 and 512 setup. should i put the 512 in a #3 or #4 slot, instead of the #2 slot. the 1024 is in the #1 slot.

Work with the set up you have for now. You can run some memory system benchmarks to see what's going on. As I understand things your system should have defaulted to a slower memory clock under that configuration. If so it may be allowing you to get the oc's your working with. An option is to get mem sticks that match what you have ( either another gb or 512mb or both ). Doing so would allow for configs of 2gb or 3gb. There usually isn't a lot of increased performance in oc'g when it comes to 3d gaming with the system using a top notch vid card.

Beware of the temperature operating specifications! what do you mean?

You have operating temperatures specifications for both min and max for the system and virtually every component (chips etc.) in it.
