Yes, I live in a dorm with a buch of other nerds and when I heard of a friend and his computer troubles, I asked him what was wrong. Apparently he had been playing CS:S a lot and lately the game had been locking up every 5 minutes. He is quite savvy in the ways of computers and he updated all his drivers and all that jazz but to no avail. Finally, his friend told him (not me) that he had a similar card whose cooling fans ceased to work, and sure enough, this was the case. Believe it or not, the first of these pictures is his BOOT UP TEMP. BOOT UP TEMPNext, we see what his voltages are, as you can see they are all within' stock limits, I believe: VOLTAGESHere is the ASUS monitor with the fan RPMS RPM FanspeedsLadies and gentlemen, the final temperature of this doomed ATI card is.... not 70 degrees, not eighty, not one hundred, not one hundred and fifty...AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. By FAR the hottest I have ever seen any component get in my life. It was just beautiful. We kept trying to play CS:S on it just for grins and giggles, its being RMA'd as we speak. Anyhow, have a good day guys!

Did you check the V.card heatsink fan was still operating before you shipped it? On 9800P thats usually one of the culprits. Better this happened sooner then later!
Can't beat RMA policies, so long as its not Refurb.

Yeah, ASUS was really cool about it, I hear. He's getting a brand new card (probably a different 3rd-party heatsink/fan combo) but I can't believe how darn stubborn the cardis just to call it quits. My friend had been using it for days and days before he found out. Thats days and days of 190 degrees
