Hello T-rowe
I am a newbie to forum and I am glad I found this board, as I have some hard times trying new things on my XPS Gen 2. Like most in these forums I too want to change the fans that come with this system. I am also going to try your zalman mod on my XPS. I ordered the parts from Intel and frozen cpu as stated in your modz area. I will be replacing the 2 rear fans and the front fan with vantec stealth 92MM and 80MM fans. I was wondering since I will not be attaching the fans to the motherboard (since I can't) How will I be able to tell what my temp are? Will MBM still give my accurate readings with fans not attached to Mobo? If I attach fans to a fanbus alone will that give me temp readings or should I get a fanbus that has thermal probes that I attach to various area in my case. Thanks in advance for any help

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!
Temperature probes aren't that accurate, and used more for reference. You'll definately want to get a fan controller for the Vantecs, with temp probes up to you. If you find some good deals and cant make up your mind, post away!
And Welcome!
