Hi guys,
Would appreciate some help here if possible. Having called Dell the techie said not to worry. But after installing a zalman V700 Cu on my geforce 6800, the system works fine, and the diagnostic CD runs fine with no errors as do the diagnostic lights.
However the small usually bright green LED between the memory modules and the floppy controller has now gone from green to amber all the time.
Do I have a problem and what the hell is this light for? Everything is installed as its supposed to be, could it be cos theres no power connector on the socket on the gfx cards as fan now runs from an attachment to the 4 pin power cable on my dvd drive?

That led is there to let you know that standby power is applied to the motherboard......eg.....if it's on, kill the power before connecting/disconnection/inserting/removal etc.. As for the color change...possibly going bad, low voltage, or indicating a sleep mode state like with the main power indicator. As a side note: any chance you banged that led with something when you were in there?
