So I replaced the factory Audigy card in favor of the platinum one. I needed MIDI ports and the factory one doesn't provide that. So I removed the factory card, and place the retail audigy card in the bottom PCI slot (furthest away from video card). Reinstalled drivers, and updated the drivers on my ATI card as well. I was getting WEIRD problems. Sometimes sound would just crap out, sometimes not work at all. Sometimes I would go into the sound setup of creative and it would lock up the whole machine. I was also getting kinda of choppy video under fast movement in doom 3. Well, I poked around and thought it through. That bottom PCI slot and the PCIE slot are on the same IRQ. I changed the slot that sound card goes in, followed the advice on how to setup the video card settings on the gaming forum of support.dell.com and now my system is stable and the video is no longer choppy. Hope this may help someone else out there.
