Okay, so I am running FaD on my 3.6ghz processor and I think its all good....I havn't had any lockups or problems or anything. I decide, 'hell, i should check my temps and see what this baby is at, after all its been at 100% for like 4 hours'. Yeah, DEFINITELY 61 degrees CELCIUS. ....Good thing I have that 4 year @home warranty....
**FaD is Find a Drug, a distributed computing project.

I worked on the cooling today and one of my fans fell down, as the tape I used to hold it failed. I got some zipties to hold it back on. I rechecked my CPU temps and now they are like 33.5C at 27C ambient. Not too shabby. Now those are only under medium load, and it shoots up to about 47 under full load, but it isn't any 61C, ill tel you that!

First off I'd like to say hi to everyone, I'm new here. I get my XPS Gen 3 tomorrow. ;D
But back on topic. Using your idle pc time to help find cures for those diseases is all fine and great, but when it gets to the point where it's threatening the span of a thousand dollar machine, I'd remove the program.
Or only run it when you're running nothing else (while you're sleeping).
