Hello everyone!
Last night I was talking to a Dell tech support person about the new BIOS version A03 and he told me not to upgrade anything unless it was recommended, by one of there people, to solve a issue that I was having with my Gen 3 XPS. I really thought is was kind off odd and wanted to find out if anyone in this forum was been told the same in the past. The same Dell tech said that if I choose to go with the version A03 (without a Dell tech walking me through the process) and anything would go wrong that I was on my own and any warranty would be void. This person even mention that I should not download anything for my PC off of there site unless it was to correct and issue or do something that I would really need. I thought all new version was to improve the hardware or software performance as well as fix minor issues. This Dell tech man really shocked me for making that statement. I thought Dell would never offer a download unless it has been tests over and over to be sure everything works as design. Please post any past issues on this subject.
Thanks,
Hawkman

You know, I dont even doubt it with BIOS, though. BIOS can really change how your computer performs. Actually, I have been affected by this very issue. I downloaded the A01 BIOS offa the site and my computer actually booted SLOWER than it did before. This is just me, though.
