Hi guys.. im considering buying 2gig of Crucial Ballistix DDR2 PC2 6400 800mhz RAM. Would this work @ the correct speeds in my system ? or would the bios keep it @ the current standard 533mhz speed ?

im pretty sure it'll only run at 533. theres no benefit to getting different timings . and plus if u're adding it to ram u're currently own ram onlyu runs as fast as the slowest stick in any case. so u're usually just best off just grabbing whats the same as what yo uhave in there.. I bought 2 GB dual channel Geil kit for 178 off new egg same timings and clock speed as the stock ram but it has heatspreaders since the multiplier is locked and can't over clock anything but u're GPU your system more than likely wont be able benefit from the enhanced latency/ MHZ
