The price/performance just isn't there when making a small gain like 200-400mhz on Intel chips. The option to overclock isn't really there because of lack of access to the Bios. So, you could spend $250-$800 for a CPU upgrade, or you could invest that money into an aftermarket motherboard/case/cooling and push close to 4ghz. Welcome to the Forums!

yea i've pushed my 3.4 to 3.83 with just some little tweaks i pushed it to 3.98 or something like that however i didn't bump the voltage up enough so i would get an error... i'm a relative newbie to overclocking.. and i need to reseat my zalman 9500 beast of a heatsink cuz i didn't get a good coating of Artic Silver on it. but all in all i recommend just a mobo case and stuff... i did with mine... spent 624 with 250 about on the pc power and cooling powersupply, so u could easily knock that down about 150$ if u're not looking to crank on the best PSU's u can buy.. and my asus 955 mbo rocks with my overclock i easily pulled better than a 3.6GHZ benchmarch by a decent margin... couldnt get to full 3.8 performance but thats expected with overclocking
if you want some help on parts i can give you a hand since i just got done doin all that crap like a month ago
