Hey guys, i'm new to this stuff but I'm replacing my stock PS with a 500w Antec to power my new Nvidia 9600gt Vid card (which will go in after I get the PS in.) The problem I'm seeing is that most of the wires on the old power supply are tucked behind the cooling fan and I can't seem to get to them. I don't really have any specialized tools to take the fan out, nor do I really want to. Just wondering if there is a simple solution that I don't know about. Any information or help on the matter will be greatly appreciated and will save me 80 bucks to take it in. Remember, I'm new at this so don't be afraid to talk to me in simple terms. Thanks!!

i just did this recently. you have to take a philips screw driver and take the 2 screws on either side of the heat sink out, and then it will tilt back to a certain point from which you can then lift up and itll come right off. but do be careful to not jar the processor..
i installed a 525watt T3400 ps in my xps 420 and it worked fine for a couple hours and then i rebooted it and somehow the motherboard and processor fried..
