I figured I would start a thread to say hello again to everyone that was apart of this community. Been a while and I figured I would drop a line and just say Hello. It brings up a lot of old memories surfing through a lot of the stickies and different guides, etc... that everyone helped contribute.
What a long, strange trip its been. Reading through those threads put a big smile on my face as a lot of you really put a lot of creativity and ingenuity into making something that was your own. Some of you made the jump back to "ATX" standard which is understandable. But for a time, we owned a piece of History.
I think we all realize that the site is "like a ghost town" now. But reading through the posts, and seeing some of the old names made me feel pretty good about the time and energy we all put into this. Overall, I'm very proud of this forum and how it grew to what it was and has become.
Anyhow, without getting all nostalgic, I wanted to thank all those who contributed to making this the #1 XPS Community Discussion Forum on the net. The ideas and creativity that came from this forum, inspired Dell's Engineers to introduce customization into the next Generation of PC's. Maybe, maybe not, but for me thats the way the story will always go. The website is gone, but the legend will always live on in my memory; as well its archived on my home server . A project that started out for a Class in a University grew into a community of radical ideas being exchanged on the cutting edge. That's something that will always put a smile on my face.
Thank you all for making this community, and for sharing your ideas and creativity with others. And for inspiring users who otherwise didn't have the avenue of information to break the cookie cutter mode of everyday computing. God Bless.
