Hello to all,
I am new to the forum and wanted to ask a question. I currently have a Dell XPS M1210 and recently upgraded the memory to 4 Gigs (2GB x 2). I brought the memory from Newegg and it was the Corsair 200 pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Dual Channel. After the installation, the computer is only stating that it see's 3.24 GB of memory. During the initial bootup and going into the boot menu it stated that 4 GB is installed, but only 3.24 GB is being used. Why is that? How can I see the full 4 GB being utilized? Did I forget to do something in the initial installation? I want to see the full 4 GB being utilized seeing that the laptop is more than capable of handling it and that is what I paid for.
Thanks in advance!!

Well if that is the case, how come my company laptop shows the full 2 gigs being present on the laptop. The only difference being that I have 4 gigs being present on my personal laptop and the other being 2 gigs on the company laptop. Aside from that, both of them are using XP Pro SP3.
Very weird and confusing...
