Hey guys, I'm new to the board, but not to the XPS series. I've had my XPS M1730 for over a year and a half gaming on it on and off and running engineering software. I wanted a little more processing power and the ability to overclock so today I got the Intel X7800 processor to replace my T8300 processor. I installed it no problem and the computer booted right up. The only problems are that the GPU fans are running all the time at 100% now and the CPU fan doesn't seem to cut on at all. The processor says that its maxed out for a while after the computer cuts on too.
I tried reloading the drivers for the CPU and GPU, but that didn't help at all. Running HWMonitor, the CPU is maxing out around 70C, but the max temp. rating is 100C.
Any thoughts on what I could do?
